    Shaun has been actively involved in the IT industry for more than 20 years. His previous background as a hands-on consultant combined with his business leadership experience gives him a unique and creative insight for using technology to create truly effective business solutions. As President of Softlanding he oversees the service delivery and sales teams, manages key partner relationships and collaborates with the Executive Team to develop the company’s strategic direction and long term vision. He is passionate about Softlanding’s core values and leads the charge in bringing them to life within the company culture and in relationships with staff and clients.

    Shaun was highlighted in the original Canadian launch of Exchange Server. He was an early evangelist of SharePoint technologies and launched Softlanding’s SharePoint practice in 2003, well ahead of the industry wave. Prior to co-founding Softlanding in 2000 he was a Sr. Consultant for Syscom Consulting where he implemented Banyan VINES network infrastructures and iManage and Hummingbird content management solutions. He was later responsible for developing its Microsoft consulting practice including the development of service offerings, hiring of consultants and leading the sales process. He has been a frequent contributor to Microsoft Partner Research Panels and Executive Roundtables.

    Andrew has spent more 20 years in the IT industry, initially focusing on using computers for statistical analysis and eventually evolving his passion for technology into leveraging it for business process improvement and productivity enablement. As a co-founder and partner in Softlanding Andrew is an active participant in the development of the company’s strategic vision. In his role as Managing Director, he oversees the day-to-day financial health of the company and is responsible for ensuring Softlanding’s assets and resources are maximized to the fullest benefit of both staff and clients.

    Prior to Softlanding Andrew was a Sr. Consultant with Syscom Consulting in Vancouver where he provided Banyan VINES and Microsoft related consulting to domestic and international clients. He holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Warsaw’s SGH (former SGPiS). Prior to moving to Canada he worked for the FIAT distribution center traveling throughout Europe and then in Italy for several Italian and international government and non-governmental organizations as an interpreter. Before entering the IT industry full time he spent 8 years working as a statistician for the BC Provincial Judiciary under the former and current Provincial and Supreme Court judges.
  • Mahmood Jaffer

    Mahmood has more than 14 years of experience in the IT industry. He has devoted much of his career to becoming a recognized expert in Microsoft enterprise technologies and software architectures, most specifically in relation to SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Server and Exchange Server.  As Softlanding’s Technical Director, Mahmood oversees development and implementation of strategic IT initiatives and best practices for enterprise clients as well as internally. He is particularly adept at applying his deep technical knowledge to large and complex projects and is the senior technical mentor for Softlanding’s Microsoft infrastructure practice. He is involved in all aspects of Softlanding’s professional service lifecycle including business development, operations, pre-sales and consulting.

    Mahmood became a partner in Softlanding in 2007. Prior to joining Softlanding he was a Consultant for Syscom Consulting in Vancouver. He holds an Advanced Diploma in Electronics with honors from Dunwoody College and is currently working on his .Net Programming Certificate from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Outside of work Mahmood enjoys diving, hiking, snow sports and building robots with his children. He is also a avid fan of his son’s Hockey team.
  • Slavica Rogac

    Passionate about making a positive impact in business through technology, Slavica has been providing consulting services to enterprise clients since she joined the Softlanding team in 2005. As the Director of Enterprise Application Services she oversees and provides direction to the firm’s Enterprise Applications practice. With a focus on strategic solutions that further business goals within organizations she excels at understanding her client's unique business needs and provides leadership to the practice for envisioning projects. She is a firm believer in doing things right the first time.

    Slavica has been in the IT field for over 10 years, and has extensive experience with collaboration and content management solutions. Prior to assuming her current role she led a wide range of SharePoint projects that include corporate intranets, collaboration, extranets and public-facing Internet sites. Slavica holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Systems from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.  In her spare time, Slavica enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Outside of work traveling is her number one passion.
  • Grant Sauer

    Grant joined the Softlanding team in 2007 and functioned as a senior consultant and enterprise project manager prior to taking on the role of Director of Infrastructure Services in 2010. In 2017 Grant changed focus from professional services to managed services and took on the role of Director of Managed Services.

    As Director of Managed Services, Grant is responsible for the operational leadership, management and growth of Softlanding’s Managed Services practice as well as the effective integration with Softlanding’s Professional Services practice. Grant brings extensive experience in infrastructure and application project delivery, project management, IT strategy consulting and technology sustainment. His cross-functional experience in both professional and managed services allows Managed services clients to benefit from the knowledge, consistency and availability of Softlanding’s service desk team while leveraging the experience and depth of Softlanding’s professional services consultants. Grant is committed to providing clients with enterprise grade, innovative, well priced, turn-key solution, sustainment and strategy services to ensure that clients maximize their investment in Information Technology and the productivity of their staff.

    Prior to joining Softlanding, Grant worked as a systems engineer and marketing representative with IBM Canada and senior consultant at Saudi Aramco. Grant holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from UBC and a Bachelor of Industrial Design from the Emily Carr University of Arts and Design. Grant holds multiple industry certifications including ITIL and PMP and has been an active member of Acetech since 2005.
  • Mat Burke

    Mat is a passionate sales and strategy specialist with a 20-year history in the Vancouver technology industry. As Director of Sales, it is Mat's responsibility to ensure that Softlanding's offerings continue to stay tightly aligned to our customers' changing needs. With a focus on long-term customer success and lasting business relationships, Mat excels at co-developing business value.     Previous to joining Softlanding, Mat finished an 8-year tour of Microsoft as Account Executive serving the Education, Retail, and Resources sectors and as a delivery manager for Microsoft Services. Other career highlights include technical roles in identity, infrastructure and security as well as participation in several Vancouver startups.

    When not in the office, Mat torments his children with frequent camping trips and by coaching their soccer and basketball teams. As part of the Junior Achievement program, Mat has taught high school finance for fifteen years. He's an avid runner and scotch drinker, escapes for the occasional international scuba expedition, and is married to the woman of his dreams.

    Beginning his career in IT 25 years ago as a night-shift programmer, Philip has since championed various senior technical and leadership roles across consulting, development and operations. Phil’s passion is delivering innovative consulting solutions to the dynamic and rapidly evolving IT landscape. In his role as Director of Professional Services, Philip provides leadership for Softlanding's team of specialists to deliver complex advisory, business transformation, systems integration and technology solutions.

    Prior to joining Softlanding, Philip led TELUS' Professional Services team, ensuring consistent and high quality delivery of business strategy, assessments, visioning workshops and strategic roadmap development across Canada. Other career highlights include being a Microsoft Certified Trainer, Senior Messaging Consultant and Systems Architect.

    Philip and his family enjoy the west coast life style from their home base of Bowen Island, one of Vancouver’s most beautiful suburbs which is an easy 40 minute commute from the hustle and bustle of downtown Vancouver. Enjoying the outdoors Philip is an avid sailor, kayaker and in the winter enjoys snowshoeing on the local trails. Philip volunteers for the Bowen Emergency Armature Radio Service, a group that assists with communications in the event of an emergency.
