According to a recent Microsoft study, over 80% of employees admit to using non-approved Software As a Service (SaaS) applications. With the explosion in web based cloud services over the past few years, this statistic is likely not surprising to anyone following technology trends.

This trend typically results in a situation where employees being frustrated with 10-20 different login names and passwords and the organization has no ability to centrally manage and secure these Identities.

So, how can we align the needs of employees to have a single login to multiple SaaS applications along with an organizations need to secure & control access?

The answer lies within Microsoft's Azure Active Directory Premium found within the Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS) to enable an employee's Domain user name and password to have Single Sign on to over 2500 Software As a Service applications.

Azure AD Premium provides a centralized portal for employees to access all of their Cloud SaaS applications in one place, along with a mobile application for Android & IOS. With one click to any SaaS application configured in the portal, the employee gets single sign on to the SaaS application without having to type in any passwords at all!

From an IT management perspective, this is much more secure as there is only one on premises Active Directory account to disable instead of having to login to each SaaS application manually. Furthermore, IT does not have to worry about credentials to SaaS applications such as Twitter being shared amongst multiple people with the potential of those credentials being compromised.
